Hey there 😊
Just a little life update from me 😝

Lately I’ve been doing a bit better, both physically and mentally—I think the sunshine definitely helps. I still get cramps in the morning, but they usually fade away around 9 a.m. (My boyfriend’s alarm goes off at 5:15 on weekdays, and I get up with him.) I’ve also been trying to go for a short walk every day. So far, so good 💪🏼

I have noticed the past few days that I get a little bored sometimes, and I really feel like going on walks or just chatting with friends. The thing is, most of my friends live around Haarlem, which is about an hour’s drive… and with gas prices these days, that’s no joke. Plus, calling just isn’t the same. So I downloaded Bumble to try and make some new friends nearby 😊

As for my plan to have my uterus removed, I think things are heading in the right direction! My first appointment with the psychologist was really positive and open. Even though I was super nervous—it kind of felt like a test—it actually gave me a lot of confidence too 😁

AND more exciting news: my book is basically finished! 👏🏼 I’ve been working on it on and off for about a year and a half now.
A few close friends have already read through it and given feedback, so I made some final edits and even sent it to a publisher!! 🫢 That part still makes me a bit nervous. But I’m planning to reach out to more publishers, because of course I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket.
I’ve also been thinking about translating the book into English myself. The Netherlands is such a small country, and I’d really love to reach as many people as possible, as quickly as possible… that’s not crazy, right?

I think that’s it for now. Next week I have my second appointments with both the psychologist and the gynecologist. I’m really curious to hear what the gynecologist has to say, and whether he’s already discussed things with his colleagues… so, a little more patience 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thanks for reading 🩷
