Sometimes there are movies that cause such a stir that you simply can’t ignore them. 365 Days is definitely one of those. When I watched it for the first time, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. There had already been so much written about it: too intense, too daring for Netflix, too much tension. But what really stayed with me is that this is a film that pulls you in from start to finish—thanks in no small part to Michele Morrone’s powerful performance and the stunning locations where the story unfolds.
Morrone brings Massimo to life with such conviction that you almost forget you’re watching a movie. He gives his character a depth you don’t often see in this genre. Of course, he’s charismatic and irresistible, but what struck me most was how he manages to reveal a certain vulnerability beneath the surface. That makes his role so much more than just the stereotypical “bad guy.” Morrone acts with intensity, and his body language is just as compelling as his voice.
But it would be unfair to only talk about Morrone. Anna-Maria Sieklucka , who plays Laura, is equally essential to the story. Through her performance, you see a remarkable transformation: from a young woman who starts out insecure and searching, into someone who grows stronger and more determined with every step. Her chemistry with Morrone is undeniable and is a huge part of what makes the film so captivating. You really believe in both the attraction and the conflict between their characters.
The supporting cast also deserves recognition. Actors like Otar Saralidze, who plays Domenico, add extra layers to the story. Domenico is Massimo’s trusted confidant, and Saralidze gives the role warmth and loyalty, balancing out Massimo’s darker side. Magdalena Lamparska as Olga, Laura’s best friend, brings lightness and a touch of humor. Her presence is invaluable because she gives the film those little moments of relief that keep the intensity from becoming overwhelming. This mix of characters makes 365 Days about more than just passion and desire—it’s also about relationships, friendship, and emotional depth.
What really sets 365 Days apart from many other romantic-erotic films is the way it builds tension. From the very first scenes, you can feel something is about to happen, but you never quite know what. The film takes its time letting the relationship between the characters develop, and every glance, every moment is charged with anticipation. That slow-burn suspense might just be the movie’s greatest strength. It makes sure you’re not just casually watching—you’re on the edge of your seat the whole time.
And then there are the settings, which simply cannot be overlooked. The locations are breathtaking. From the sun-drenched streets of Italy to the elegant villas and idyllic beaches—every shot feels like a postcard. It’s almost as if you’re on vacation yourself, swept up in a thrilling and passionate story. The cinematography amplifies this feeling, with careful use of color, lighting, and composition that give the film an extra layer of beauty.
It’s true that 365 Days isn’t for everyone. Some scenes are quite graphic and explicit—it’s definitely not a film you’d casually put on for a family movie night. But that raw edge is exactly what makes it feel authentic. It dares to shock, and it shows emotions that go far beyond Netflix’s usual comfort zone. For anyone open to an intense viewing experience, this is absolutely worth watching.
In the end, 365 Days may be bold, but it’s also beautiful. It’s a film that sweeps you away, touches you, and lingers in your mind long after the credits roll. Exactly what a good movie should do.

Soms zijn er films die zoveel stof doen opwaaien dat je er eigenlijk niet omheen kunt. 365 Days is er zo eentje. Toen ik de film voor het eerst keek, wist ik niet goed wat ik kon verwachten.
Er was al veel over geschreven: te heftig, te gedurfd voor Netflix, te veel spanning.
Maar wat mij vooral is bijgebleven, is dat het een film is die je van begin tot eind meesleept – mede dankzij het indrukwekkende acteerwerk van Michele Morrone en de prachtige locaties waarin het verhaal zich afspeelt.
Morrone vertolkt de rol van Massimo met zoveel overtuiging dat je bijna vergeet dat je naar een film zit te kijken. Hij weet zijn personage een diepte te geven die je niet vaak tegenkomt in dit genre. Natuurlijk is hij charismatisch en onweerstaanbaar, maar wat mij vooral raakte was hoe hij tegelijkertijd een zekere kwetsbaarheid laat doorschemeren.
Dat maakt zijn rol veel meer dan alleen de stereotype ‘bad guy’. Morrone speelt intens, met een lichaamstaal die even krachtig is als zijn stem.
Maar het zou oneerlijk zijn om alleen Morrone te benoemen. Anna-Maria Sieklucka, die de rol van Laura speelt, is minstens zo belangrijk voor het verhaal. Zij weet met haar spel een enorme ontwikkeling neer te zetten: van een jonge vrouw die aanvankelijk onzeker en zoekend is, tot iemand die steeds meer kracht en vastberadenheid laat zien. Haar chemie met Morrone is voelbaar en draagt voor een groot deel bij aan de spanning die de film zo meeslepend maakt.
Je gelooft echt in de aantrekkingskracht en de strijd tussen hun personages.
Ook de bijrollen verdienen lof. Acteurs zoals Otar Saralidze, die Domenico speelt, brengen extra gelaagdheid in het verhaal. Domenico is de vertrouweling van Massimo, en Saralidze geeft die rol warmte en loyaliteit mee, waardoor de harde kant van Massimo meer in balans komt.
Magdalena Lamparska als Olga, de beste vriendin van Laura, zorgt juist voor luchtigheid en een vleugje humor. Haar aanwezigheid is onmisbaar, omdat ze de film af en toe net dat beetje relativerende ademruimte geeft.
Deze mix van karakters maakt dat 365 Days niet alleen draait om spanning en erotiek, maar ook om relaties, vriendschap en emotionele diepte.
Wat 365 Days onderscheidt van veel andere romantisch-erotische films is de manier waarop de spanning wordt opgebouwd. Vanaf de eerste scènes voel je dat er iets gaat gebeuren, maar je weet niet precies wat. De film neemt de tijd om de relatie tussen de personages te laten groeien, waarbij elke blik en elk moment volgeladen is met verwachting.
Die spanningsboog is misschien wel de grootste kracht van de film. Hij zorgt ervoor dat je niet zomaar even tussendoor kijkt, maar dat je echt op het puntje van je stoel blijft zitten.
Daarnaast mag de setting absoluut niet vergeten worden. De locaties zijn ronduit adembenemend. Van de zonovergoten straten in Italië tot de elegante villa’s en de idyllische stranden: elk shot is een plaatje op zich. Het voelt bijna alsof je zelf even op vakantie bent, terwijl je middenin een spannend en meeslepend verhaal wordt gezogen. De cinematografie versterkt dit gevoel nog eens extra. Kleuren, licht en compositie zijn zorgvuldig gekozen om het verhaal meer kracht te geven.
Het is waar dat 365 Days niet voor iedereen geschikt is. Sommige scènes zijn erg heftig en expliciet – het is geen film die je zomaar met het hele gezin opzet…
Maar juist dat rauwe randje maakt de film authentiek. Hij durft te choqueren en laat emoties zien die vaak buiten de gebaande paden van Netflix vallen. Voor wie openstaat voor een intense kijkervaring, is dit absoluut een aanrader.
Kortom: 365 Days is misschien heftig, maar ook prachtig. Een film die je meesleept, die je raakt en die je nog lang laat nadenken. Precies zoals een goede film hoort te doen…
