Why Women Kill is an American dark comedy-drama series (with a generous dose of sharp, dark humor) created by Marc Cherry, the same creator behind Desperate Housewives and Devious Maids. The show is an anthology series, meaning each season tells a different story with a largely new cast, but all revolve around the same central theme: what drives women to kill (usually involving relationships, infidelity, or long-simmering frustrations).
Season 1 premiered in 2019 on CBS, and Season 2 was released in 2021 on Paramount+. The series consists of two seasons with ten episodes each. A third season was once considered, but so far it hasn’t materialized 😐

Season 2 tells a completely new, standalone story set in 1949 Los Angeles. It centers on Alma Fillcot, a woman struggling with her place in society and her desire for beauty, status, and recognition — and the consequences that follow.
