Panther, is his name.
How old is he? I don’t know… What race? A mix maincoon.
In 2023, I was thrown into my lap by indirect family asking if I could take care of him because his owner was in the hospital.
So I did that and man oh man how that started terribly! 😅
From day one it was growling, blowing, lashing out.
But not from day 4! Then he realized I was feeding him, I think.
I was told he was about 3 or 4 years old then, so he should be about 6 or 7 by now. Veterinarians think so too.
I was also told that Panter had a bit of a troubled childhood. The first owner he had locked him in the bathroom and the second gave him medication he didn’t need. Panther didn’t have it easy.
But when the indirect family asked me if I wanted to keep him, I didn’t hesitate for a moment. And since then, he’s been my black monster 🖤
He is (unfortunately) not a lap cat, but this may change as he gets older. 🤞🏼
He’s a crazy beast. He finds blankets a bit scary to walk over, but he loves a piece of plastic to lie on and play with… He really has his own character!
He jumped on my boyfriend’s lap once, out of nowhere! He laid down and stayed for 3 minutes or so. We looked at each other in disbelief and I quickly took a picture haha. That was the only time. 😽
Sometimes he comes to bed with me! For a period and then again for a very long time not 🤷🏼♀️ there is no arrow to be drawn.
And the other day he came to lie down with me on a blanket on the couch! I felt completely honored and immediately recorded it again 😝
Panther is no longer mean, he is now quite curious and even lets itself be petted by strangers. He really is a sweetheart.
Although he sometimes wants attention but then just goes out of your reach, as if he doesn’t know how.
I’m still hesitating for a friend for him… I tried that in 2024, but unfortunately it didn’t go well. But Panther seems to be happy alone. The whole house for himself 😸
He has made my life a lot more fun 🖤
