The full title of this book is: How to Win Friends and Influence People.
This book was written by Dale Carnegie in 1964.

This book had a rough time with me… as you might be able to tell 😅
I started reading it around 2018, but I just couldn’t get through it… I was reading in the garden, lost my focus, and put it down next to me. Which resulted in the book lying outside in the garden for about a month or longer… oops.
But eventually, I picked it up again, and this time I had the perseverance to actually finish it — and also the realization that this is truly an amazing book!

Later I’ll share some of the things I underlined in it.

On the front cover, it literally says:

On the back cover it says:

Yes, of course, this is all written in that classic American style — I definitely noticed that too 😝

Now, onto some of the things I underlined:

9 out of 10 times, people don’t criticize themselves for nothing, no matter how bad something is.

When dealing with people, let’s remember that we’re not dealing with creatures of logic.
We’re dealing with creatures of emotion, prejudices, and motivated by pride and vanity.

Any fool can criticize, complain, and be negative — and most fools do.
But it takes character and self-control to be understanding and forgiving.

I can definitely recommend this book. It’s a classic, it’s clear, it’s inspiring — and I’m genuinely looking forward to reading it again!
