In 2025, me lovely boyfriend and I attended an open day about Remote Viewing hosted by Baptist de Pape.
(Remote Viewing is a technique in which someone tries to obtain information about a person, place, or event without being physically present, often through mental focus or intuitive perception. It has also been used by the military.)
It was incredibly interesting, and by the end of the event I decided to pick up this book. Even though we also received the film version in the goodie bag. ☺️
And I’m going to be completely honest… I had different expectations going into it.
It’s definitely not a bad book—let that be clear. But I also wouldn’t necessarily say it’s a book for beginners who are just getting interested in spirituality.
The book is filled with quotes from interesting, inspiring, and insightful people such as Paulo Coelho, Eckhart Tolle, Isabel Allende, Deepak Chopra, Joe Dispenza, and several others whose names I didn’t recognize (yet). Sometimes there were three quotes from different people on a single page, which felt a little unusual to read. They didn’t always connect seamlessly with each other.
A short summary of the book:
The book suggests that the heart is more than just a physical organ. According to Baptist, it is a source of intuition, wisdom, love, and guidance in life. By listening to your heart, you can better discover your true talents, goals, and values.
Baptist traveled around the world and interviewed well-known thinkers and writers such as Paulo Coelho, Eckhart Tolle, and Deepak Chopra. Their insights show how living from the heart can lead to greater happiness, meaning, and inner peace.
Core message:
When you learn to listen to your heart instead of only your mind or outside expectations, you can discover your true life purpose and live a more authentic and fulfilling life.
It’s a beautiful book, and I did enjoy the contemplations at the end of each chapter. They were like little mini-meditations or moments to pause and reflect.
I’m really curious to hear what you think of this book!
Thanks for reading 🩷
