I was recommended to this series a few times and I finally decided to watch it. Here is: my first impression and opinion about this Western series 🤠🏔️

When I started the first season of Yellowstone, I honestly had no idea what to expect. But I soon noticed that the series managed to hold my attention and actually did not let go.
From the first episodes I was drawn into the story, and that feeling remained throughout the season.
What immediately impressed me were the amazing landscapes 🌄 The environment is not just a backdrop, but feels like an essential part of the story. Everything breathes space, freedom and at the same time threat.
That rugged, pristine feeling fits perfectly with the themes of the series and reinforces the intensity of what is happening.

Season 1 is all about family, power and protecting what’s yours. Without giving any spoilers: you follow the Dutton family who are constantly under pressure, both from the outside and from the inside.
Conflicts with other parties run high and moral boundaries are regularly sought. That makes the story intriguing, emotional and sometimes downright compelling.
As a viewer, you are almost forced to take a position, even if no one is really black and white.

What I like about Yellowstone is that it’s a series that you either take completely or not at all. The pace, atmosphere and hard choices that are made are not for everyone. But if you’re in it, you’re really in it.
That worked for me: I always wanted to know how things went and kept looking through 👀

I also have a little frustration 🤔
In one of the first episodes, a storyline is introduced – with that white van and the kidnapping of a girl – who never really seems to get a sequel in season 1. That feels like a missed opportunity, precisely because the series is so strong in tension and impact.
Small details matter, and I was left with questions.

Despite that, a positive feeling prevails for me. Yellowstone season 1 is intense, raw and visually impressive. It’s not a light viewing cost, but if the atmosphere and theme appeal to you, it can grab you as much as it did me. And then it won’t let you go for the time being 🔥

I’m already watching season 2 🤠

Thanks for reading 🩷
