I started watching this series because Steve Howey is one of the main actors 🤭
I already knew it only had one season and honestly… I kind of understand why 😅 What I only just found out is that the series is actually based on the 1994 movie of the same name starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis 🎬🔥! The original movie became a real action classic 💥🍿, but the series never reached that same level of success.
The show premiered on March 1, 2023, with 13 episodes 📺. There was definitely a passionate fanbase ❤️, but apparently not big enough, because the series ended up getting canceled 😬. The production was developed by Matt Nix, and James Cameron also helped produce the series for a while 👀🎥, which brought a lot of attention since he also directed the original movie!
So… what is the series actually about? 🤔
The story follows Harry Tasker, who appears to be a boring everyday salesman 😴💼, but secretly lives a double life as an elite spy 🕶️ His wife Helen suddenly discovers that her husband has been hiding this huge secret 😱💔 Together, they get caught up in dangerous missions 🌍💣, international conspiracies 💥, and intense action-packed chases 🚗💨🔥
Just like the movie, the series mixes action, humor, and romance. It’s not just about spies and secret missions, but also about trust, marriage, and the secrets people keep within relationships 💍🤐

What did I think about it? 🤷♀️
It was pretty fun to watch overall… but at the same time it kind of gave me “kids action show” vibes 😅. Personally, I’m actually way more curious about the original movie now 🎥🔥
Honestly, I don’t have that much more to say about it 😅. It’s an okay series overall 🙂
